LTPSS Charity Concert 2014

On 10th May 2014, we had the annual LTPSS Charity Concert 2014 in the School Hall. The Charity Concert is a fund-raising event and this year, the ‘Community Chest of Hong Kong’ has been elected by the SA as the beneficiary organization. The Concert was a successful event which was full of ‘Joy, Hope and Care’ and we were very lucky to have three schools in joining us in this meaningful night, they were Chinese YMCA College, St. Teresa Secondary School and TWGHs Lee Ching Dea Memorial College. The Concert was filled with wonderful music, first by the Joint School Band leaded by the famous conductor, Mr. Carl Choi. Then the Joint School Chorus, taking the audience to a magical journey of famous musical excerpts. At last, the Concert ended with the wonderful Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘ Concert Celebration’, with all the singers singing and acting and dancing as the grand finale. The annual Charity Concert is one of the most important and meaningful event in LTPSS that one should not miss!

Taiwan Music Education Tour

Dear Miss Tam,

We are the 1st music educational touring group in LTP and are prepared to challenge ourselves and are ready to learn. These photos were taken in our last preparation meeting. Miss Wan and Miss Betty led us in all the organizing work, including self-nomination for different posts, grouping, making handbook, mini project research, design and ordering uniform, collecting documents, ......the most important of all is knowing what SELF-DISCIPLINE is . We had our first big lesson in punctuality and responsibility !

We know we have plenty to go through, especially with unsteady weather in Taiwan recently. Dr So has been nice in providing us with useful information and a contingency plan on Day 2 and Day 3. We are very excited and looking forward to the trip !

Thank you for the care and support.

Yours sincerely,
Wong Wing Huen

LTPSS Charity Concert 2012

To cultivate among our students the spirit of giving and helping the needy, our school organized “Charity Concert 2012” on 19th May, 2012 to raise funds for the Hong Kong Single Parents Association. Through the sharing of our talents and passion in music, we hope to serve our community, especially young people in need. We also have the pleasure of inviting The Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir and Ying Wa Primary School Choir to perform as honorable guests in the Concert. We had raised more than $140,000 by the concert and will be donated to help the Association to organize activities for young people and the children in single-parent families so that they may be able to help themselves.

Choir Performance for Hong Kong Geopark

On behalf of LTPSS CHOIR, I would like to share our joy and excitement in the Official Opening Ceremony of Hong Kong, China World Geopark. As the guest performing choir to round up the ceremony, we sang the theme song with the renowned Tenor Mr Warren Mok, in the presence of the HKSAR Chief Executive, the World Geopark Chairpersons from Australia, England, Japan, Singapore and China. LTPSS CHOIR was highly praised by the organizer and the audience for its professional attitude and highly disciplined performance.

What we treasured the most was the learning experience that we encountered and the team spirit that we built through this musical activity.

During our preparation and rehearsals, we listened attentively to our teachers to learn how to sing as a back up chorus and focused on the projection of our voices so that we could deliver our music on stage in an open area. In the performance, we sang with our hearts and mind. It was very rewarding to see the audience enjoy our music.

We learnt the importance of individual contribution to the success of a team. We also demonstrated the LTPSS spirit of learning humbly, listening attentively and striving for our best.

We really feel honoured to be invited to perform in this special occasion and are looking forward to other learning opportunities in the future.
